Jonathan C. B. Macedo, Christian, biologist, from Minas Gerais, Brazil. My career began back at the MTC, a Bible school where my parents taught, in the countryside of Montes Claros, MG, Brazil. There I lived until the age of 15, among woods, rivers and nature’s surprises. In 2005, we moved as a family to Belo Horizonte, the capital of our state, where I finished high school and joined the Biology course of the Federal University of MG (UFMG). Thereafter, the next four year I dedicated to study that which amazes me: nature and its details; and specialized in Ecology of Insects. This year, following my graduation, I have been accepted to attend the Erasmus Mundus European Master in Applied Ecology (www.master-emae.org) which started in September 2011. I am now at the University of East-Anglia, improving my English and studying ways we can help nature in its crisis. I hope in the future be able to use this knowledge as an instrument for treating society in its sins.
